Belarusian Activists United To Fight Harmful Plants

Seven organizations will oppose the plans of the authorities

Representatives of seven civil environmental initiatives from different cities of Belarus will now coordinate their actions, the Telegram channel Basta reports.

The decision was taken at a meeting in the Belarusian capital on January 12. Activists from Brest, Svetlahorsk, Mahiliou, Maladzechna, Minsk, Navapolatsk will now jointly oppose the plans of the authorities for the illegal construction and launch of hazardous industries.

Representatives of the initiative groups shared best practices in confronting the officials, holding protests; they agreed on mutual assistance.
