Photofact: Brest “Parasites” Started To Get SMSs

The Brest residents are called to the “commission” via SMS.

Here is a message recently received by the BrestCITY reader.

“Dear subscriber, you are classified as an able-bodied citizen who are not engaged in the economy... We recommend to apply to the commission: 273 Maskouskaya st., room 1/2; tel.409544; Mon-Fri: 8-17h, break: 13-14h.”

We remind that the Belarusians working abroad are automatically listed as the “parasites”. The lists will be compiled by special commissions that work with personal information of Belarusians.

It has been stated more than once that “parasites” will pay for other services that are subsidized by the state, and the Belarusians “unemployed in the economy” were threatened with activity therapy centres.

We remind that the previous version of the “parasite decree” caused mass protests, which experts have called the most large scale in Belarus since the “perestroika”.
