Mass Arrests In Minsk: 37 People Detained At Party

Each of the detainees faces up to 5 years of imprisonment.

In Minsk, 37 young people were detained at another drug party. According to the press-center of the Minsk police, the incident happened on Friday, January 19. Young people gathered in a rented cottage in the Healahichnaya Street to celebrate the New Year and Christmas holidays, Euroradio reports.

The police had operational information that the youngsters were going to use drugs (they collected money for them). The drugs were ctually found only on two minors – one had 5 grams of marijuana and 0.6 grams of the highly dangerous substance MDMA, the other - 0.42 grams of marijuana. A criminal case was initiated against them under the article “Illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues”. Each of the detainees faces up to 5 years in prison.

It is noted that the detainees are students of various educational institutions of the capital. Previously, they were not brought to administrative or criminal liability. Law enforcers are trying to figure out the channel for the supply of drugs.
