Father Frost Urged Brest Residents To Come To Square To Tune Of Oginsky Polonaise

The protest event on Christmas Eve.

In the afternoon of January 6, the first 2019 feeding of pigeons in protest against the construction of a battery factory was held at Lenin Square in Brest. It was remarkable for the performance of Father Frost, who, together with Snow Maiden, conducted an entertainment program for the people gathered in the square, the Brest Newspaper reports.

“Everything has been agreed with the authorities!” – activist Vital Kazak, who from the second attempt managed to get to Lenin Square to hold his event, repeatedly reminded the people listening to him. We remind that exactly a week ago, instead of Lenin Square, he got into addiction department, where he was taken by a traffic police officer for examination.

Father Frost sang two songs for the audience, talked with people about the plant, asked if they had written petitions on this issue, read the thoughts of some of those gathered in the square with the help of the magic stick.

He also promised that on January 13, a similar event would take place at the same place and asked people to learn the vocal version of Oginsky's Polonaise performed by the Belarusian ensemble “Pesniary”.

“We will sing a cappella,” – Father Frost promised.

After the meeting, the car in which Father Frost was driving was stopped by a traffic police officer to check the driver’s documents, however, according to eyewitnesses, “Father Frost and the coachman were sober, Father Frost was outraged and said that the temperature would drop in the coming days.”
