Belarus Bans Entry For 1,1 Million Foreigners

Most of them have been included in the list by Russia.

“1 million 142 thousand informations” have been included in the list of foreigners banned from entering Belarus. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Padhurski told this as he spoke in the “parliament”, reports tut.by.

Ivan Padhurski presented to the “parliament” the amendments to the law regulating the list of foreign citizens who are prohibited from entering Belarus, or unwanted. It is planned that according to the new law, there will become less refusals of entry.

According to the Deputy Minister, now “1 million 142 thousand informations” is included in this list. Most of them have been included by Russia. More than 138 thousand people were added by the state bodies of Belarus, including the KGB - 15 thousand, the State Border Committee - 7 thousand. Now the list also contains 5 thousand people who have not paid fines in Belarus. When the new law is enacted, they will be able to enter the territory of Belarus, having received a fine notification at the border.

In total, 4.8 million foreigners entered Belarus in 2018, a little more than 5 million left. For the six months of 2019 - more than 2 million entered, left - 2.4 million.
