The activist has spoken at the trial.
The website of the Human Rights Centre Viasna published the last word of political prisoner Dzmitry Paliyenka. We remind that the trial of the anarchist activist has ended in Minsk today.
- The system of fair trial does not work in Belarus. This is a repressive mechanism, working for the dictatorship. We all remember the opposition politicians.
They ask: "Is it worth taking such risk?" I answer: "Is it worth sitting and doing nothing?"
Every person for whom freedom and dignity are not empty words can find himself in my place. As for the 339 Article and the fact that other Articles have been dropped - it has been done in order to dismiss political accusations.
And even though the system makes me a criminal, I am clean in my conscience. I am an anarchist, I am not silent, I am not afraid of imprisonment. I have love, friends - it's what the Nazis can't take away from me.
Arbitrariness of the cops, dictatorship!
It disgusting and nasty to participate in this circus, but I need to be heard. Long live Belarus! I hug everybody! The truth is on our side, and this is not my last word," - Dzmitry Paliyenka said.
