Video Fact: European Belarus Activist Shows How People Live In Minsk City Center

An eloquent video shot in the center of the Belarusian capital.

Video blogger and European Belarus activist Andrei Voynich, who takes part in the parliamentary campaign at the Hrushauski constituency №98, was collecting signatures for his nomination as a candidate for deputy at Rosa Luxemburg street. He shared the picture he saw in the entrances in a small video, the press service of the European Belarus civil campaign writes.

- 31 Lermontov Street, practically the center of the city. The houses resemble barracks - they are in a terrible condition. People live here without hot water. The heating is provided by gas boilers. In winter hot water is taken from the battery. It's scary to walk on the stairs, - the video blogger says.

A similar picture is in a two-storey house at 99 Karl Liebknecht street. Wooden wobbly stairs, scraped walls and cold in the apartments. The house, as well as the neighboring houses, has no central heating, residents also use old gas boilers.
