Candidate from the European Belarus civil campaign called on Brest citizens to participate in the rally on November 15 in Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.
A rally against the battery factory was held in Brest today, the correspondent of Charter97.org reports. The rally, attended by more than 400 people, was permitted by the authorities and took place in the park of Soldiers-Internationalists.
The rally ended with a speech of Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, a candidate for deputy from the European Belarus civil campaign, who urged to come to Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk on November 15, and adoption of a resolution demanding the final closure of the battery plant.
"We are interested in this dictatorship to leave Belarus as soon as possible. Therefore, I urge everyone to be united and to take part in the rally on Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk on November 15 at 18.00," - Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk stated.
