Austrian Press Either Ignores Or Criticizes Belarusian Dictator

Only two newspapers have written about the dictator.

The Austrian press, judging by the analysis of recent publications, has hardly noticed Lukashenka's visit. As of the morning of November 12, the Salidarnasts website had managed to find only a few publications. The national newspaper Oberösterreichische Nachrichten dedicated two ones to Lukashenka's visit to Vienna.

The publication reminds that one of the topics during the official meetings will be the issue of human rights in Belarus and, in particular, the death penalty.

The regional newspaper Vorarlberger Nachrichten also writes about the problem of the death penalty in Belarus.

In today's article by Oberösterreichische Nachrichten entitled "Dictator, Who Loves Austria," Lukashenka is called "illegitimate son of a milkmaid," who has been ruling his country with a hard hand for 25 years. The newspaper reveals the secrets of Lukashenka's political longevity: he is ruthless to political opponents and has created the image of a "man of the people".

And it ends the story about Lukashenka with words about his youngest son. The newspaper calls him the son of the personal doctor of the Belarusian leader, who took the boy from his mother: "Now the 14-year-old boy is being prepared to become his successor. The power must remain in the family".
