The well-known journalist has told us why we need a meeting at Kastrychnitskaya.

On November 15, there was a Meeting of Free People at Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.

Well-known Belarusian journalist Iryna Khalip spoke about the reason to meet at Kastrychnitskaya Square:

- Now they are surprisingly trying to set up a Christmas tree, pulling out the tiles at that. I consider it a provocation.

It was clear that the Square would be cordoned off and that they would interfere with us. The question was how far the fantasy of the authorities would go.

The laws in the country are no longer in force. Today Volha Nikalaichyk was detained - and she just got in a taxi and was going to a legal meeting within the election campaign. What laws can we talk about?

What is the purpose of this meeting? During the collection of signatures, when we were walking door-to-door, I understood for sure: even heartfelt social and political essays on websites do not give what a live communication gives. People want to go somewhere, do something, people have ideas and they want to look for an answer to the question - how to make our country free?

To start preparing for real, powerful protests, we need to train now and take to the streets.
