Iryna Khalip: Let's Exorcise These Collective Farm Occupiers

Let's consider today to be the beginning of this process.

On November 15, there was a Meeting of Free People at Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk.

Journalist Iryna Khalip had said at Freedom Square:

- I remember how Mikalai Statkevich and I were participating in one rally on December 19, 2010. I am glad that we are here at the square again.

For nine years the regime did everything so that we could not gather here. But we understood: nothing in the country will change without a powerful protest movement. So, it is time to return to the streets, leave the computers and come here to the square.

Only here, at the square, and together, we will defend the independence of Belarus and regain fair elections, and change the power.

Changes in Belarus are impossible without a change of power. Thus, everything is simple: changing power and organizing powerful protests.

And for this purpose we need to stay together.

Let's consider that today is the beginning, and then we will continue. Let's forget that we have different approaches, ideas and visions of the future.

First, let's force out these collective farm occupiers.

We are now like the residents of Minsk in the 1940s under occupation. So let's exorcise these collective farm occupiers. With kicks. Long live Belarus!
