She is not satisfied with the OSCE's conclusions on the "elections".

CEC head Lidziya Yarmoshyna has commented on the statement of the OSCE international observers that the "elections" in Belarus did not meet important international standards for democratic elections.

The CEC head states that it is not enough to write in the report that the registration of candidates has been cancelled or the accreditation of proxies has been revoked. The observation mission should have analyzed whether this [de-registration, revocation of accreditation] was in line with national legislation.

- After all, elections do not create a period of lawlessness where everything is possible. During elections, the same rules and regulations are in force as in everyday life. Therefore, just to list the number of persons who could not participate in the elections because the registration was cancelled - is a one-way submission of information that does not reveal the essence of the issue. Similarly, no arguments or evidence are given [in the report] when mentioning "facts" about ballot box fraud and stuffing. In this regard, we believe that this [the OSCE report] is no more and no less a political statement with insufficient legal basis, - Yarmoshyna said.

We remind that OSCE observers believe that these elections demonstrated "a complete lack of compliance with democratic commitments".
