United and unconquered Belarusian people were marching along the streets of Vilnius.

"Our dead will not leave us in trouble, our fallen are like the sentries". These words from the song have become prophetic.

The rebels of 1863-64, as real freedom fighters, returned just when the threat of losing independence is the greatest. When the authorities, whose duty is to preserve and strengthen the state, are selling it secretly from the people. They are making agreements with those who were drowning the uprising of 1863 in blood and hiding the bodies of its leaders.

It seemed that the graves of the rebels were lost forever, but a miracle happened - it is difficult to call it otherwise - and they returned. 150 years after, Kastus Kalinouski managed to do something what he was fighting for. The things that politicians, officials and artists have failed to do. United and unconquered Belarusian people were proudly marching along the streets of Vilnius. The very same people that were at the Square in Minsk in 2001, 2006 and 2010. The ones that came in full force in the spring of 2017. The people who are ready to fight for their country both in word and deed.

We saw thousands of flags and the abundance of bright faces on November 22 during the reburial of the rebels. We know for sure due to this glorious event that we can be a single fist, a single force. And the obstacle to this exists only in our heads. Now we know for a fact that we can be strong if we wish, that each of us is not alone against the enemy. Everything depends on us.
