Artist Ales Pushkin will organize an unusual event. The exhibition "Drawings from Prison" will start working at the educational site "Territory of Rights" in Minsk on November 12, the website of the Human Rights Center Viasna reports.

"Pictures from Prison" is a series of works, which the artist drew during his arrests in 2012. In addition, the book-album by Ales Pushkin from the series "Belarusian Prison Literature" will be presented at the exhibition. The edition contains the artist's diary entries, which he wrote in custody.

"Ales Pushkin's art exhibition and the album of prison drawings are an extremely important step in the struggle for freedom and human rights through art," - Ales Bialiatski, chairman of the Viasna Human Rights Centre, says.
