"Draw Posters": Belarusian Students Getting Ready To Strike

One of the Minsk universities is getting up.

Minsk Innovation University is getting up: the university, which has been working since 1991, has not passed accreditation in several specialties. Students report that the psychologists, economists and lawyers may be left without diplomas of their native university. However, the students are not going to look at the situation in silence: a strike is scheduled for Monday, onliner.by writes.

"This is not a joke. The gathering is at 9:30 a.m., the first building, the second floor, - the Expelled telegram-channel presents a screenshot of students' correspondence. - There will be the dean and all the staff there. There will be a lot of students, different courses. Tell your parents this information, if nothing changes after Monday, because it's pure arbitrariness. The dean's office and everyone else don't go to work either and go to the second building. Draw posters, anything, but it is necessary to declare that all this is illegal. If they do close it, they will most likely transfer us. But now we have to do everything possible so that they do not close it".

It follows from the correspondence that the university is going to appeal against the decision, it has three days to do it (presumably, the work days).

It is worth reminding that there was already a precedent of closing not only some specialties, but even the whole private university: in 2012, the women's institute "Envila" stopped working, and then the issue of students' education was resolved as follows: the girls were transferred to the Belarusian State Pedagogical University and the Belarusian State University.

The university made it clear that its administration will not give additional comments until Monday.
