Belarusians Of Szczecin Held March Against "Integration" With Russia

The rally started near the Consulate of the Russian Federation.

On December 15, a picket in support of the independence of Belarus took place near the Russian consulate in the Polish city of Szczecin. The picketers protested against the deepening of "integration" with Russia, and also supported the Belarusian political prisoners, Radio Svaboda reports.

As the co-organizer of the picket, Frantsishak Tserashko, reported, the protesters marched through the central streets of Szczecin.

"The event was aimed to support independence, against the so-called "integration," which is intended to destroy the independence of Belarus! We also support the political prisoners: Piotr Markelau, who was sentenced to 14 days of imprisonment for exposing the fact of falsification during the parliamentary elections in Belarus. Also to Naama Issakhar, an Israeli woman, who was illegally abducted and arrested by the Russian authorities," - Frantsishak Tserashko says.

According to the second co-organizer of the rally, Anton Koipish, the rally began near the building, occupied by the Russian consulate in Szczecin (on the eve of the rally, there was a sign on the building, but it had disappeared shortly before the rally). Then the protesters marched through the streets of Szczecin towards the Polish voivodship administration to inform the authorities and the Polish people about the "integration" of Belarus with Russia.

During the event, the participants were distributing leaflets "Za Naszą I Waszą Wolność", chanting appeals: "Mińsk-Warszawa - Wspólna Sprawa", "Long Live Belarus!"

On December 15, pickets of Belarusians against the deepening "integration" of Belarus with Russia were also held in New York and Krakow.
