Maksim Viniarski: We Must Be Ready To Take Power Into Our Hands

The Lukashenka problem should be solved as early as next year.

Coordinator of the European Belaru civil campaign Maksim Viniarski made a speech at the protest action against the “integration” with Russia.

“Today, in this Square, the surname of Putin often sounds,” the politician said. “But he is not our main problem. This is a problem for the Russians, and they should solve it. Our problem is the person who has been selling our country for 25 years, who usurped the power in Belarus, and deprived us of the right to choose. And this problem is for us to solve.

Lukashenka is now much weaker than before. We see that Putin no longer gives him money. Now he will be forced to turn on the printing press, and fill the economy with empty papers. He will soon have nothing to pay the salaries to his security forces.

The root of the problems of Belarus is dictatorship. When we choose our own power, when we become the power in our country, when we have normal officials, we will not be afraid for the agreements that they conclude. And now, when the law-enforcement agencies, officials and the government are not doing their job, each of us needs to be prepared to replace them. We must be prepared to take power in the country into our hands. Hot spring awaits us!
