Kanstantsin Zhukouski: Authorities Lost Touch With Reality

The harassment of the Homel journalist, who emigrated, continues.

According to independent journalist from Homel Kanstantsin Zhukouski, who found asylum inone of the European countries, an officer of court tried to contact him several times, despite the fully paid fines in the past administrative cases, Radio Racyja reports.

Kanstantsin Zhukouski believes that the authorities do not forget him because he plans to make public the information about the corruption of the authorities and the legal mayhem.

- The authorities haver not ceased harassment although I emigrated. They take advantage of the fact that I cannot pay the fine or confirm it is fully covered, although it has been fully covered indeed. Maybe they are trying to lure me to Belarus. They are sending me stuff, they want to know where I am and what I am doing. This looks bizarre. Apparently, they have finally lost touch with the reality.

In addition to the visits of the officer of court, Kanstantsin Zhukouski was notified that another administrative offense protocol was made with regard to him under Article 22.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (illegal making of media products). The journalist is scheduled to be tried in Luninets for the newspiece, which was broadcasted on Belsat TV channel at the end of 2018.
