They are about to launch a harmful plant, Omsk Karbon, in Mahiliou.

They write that the Omsk Karbon plant, whose closure is sought by Mahiliou residents, is being prepared for launch, Basta! reports.

The company is actively recruiting new employees, despite ongoing prosecution checks and protests. The job search sites offer more than 30 new vacancies. All of them were posted a few days ago.

At the meeting, which took place on January 25 in the Veina Village Council, the officials promised the initiative group an excursion to the plant, but without the participation of independent environmentalists. On February 18, the Omsk Karbon press service stated that they had not invited anyone to the enterprise and accused local residents of the “information war”. They, probably, will also blame the “enemies” for the sugary smell, which is felt even in the center of the city, and the soot on the snow.
