Public Garden Named After Pavel Sheremet To Appear In Kyiv
PAVEL SHEREMET

The corresponding decision was taken by the Kyiv Naming Commission.

A land plot located at the intersection of Reitarska and Striletska Streets in the Shevchenkivski district of Kyiv has been given the status of a public garden named after journalist Pavel Sheremet, who was killed in an act of terrorism in Kyiv. The corresponding decision was taken by the Kyiv Naming Commission, according to the Administration of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Kyiv City State Administration.

“This proposal was supported by the staff of the newspaper Ukrayinskaya Pravda and was discussed with the representatives of the special monitoring mission of the OSCE,” the report said.

In addition, two new public gardens will appear in Kyiv: the Munich garden, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Munich and Kyiv connections, at the intersection of Zoolohichna and Dehtyarevska Streets; and the Muslim Magomaev garden, at the request of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine - at the intersection of Sichovykh Striltsiv Street and Vyacheslav Chornovol Avenue.
