The prices at petrol stations have risen for a kopeck again.

Belnautakhim has reported an increase in prices for oil products by 1 kopeck from February 21, 2019. The concern explains that they adhere to the strategy of gradual price changes.

The price of AI-92-K5-Euro petrol is now 1.44 rubles, AI-95-K5-Euro – 1.55 rubles, AI-98-K5-Euro – 1.76 rubles, diesel fuel – 1.55. rubles.

“In February 2019, the oil price shows a steady growth. For the first two weeks of February, the average price of oil rose up to 62.6 US dollars, and according to data on February 20, the price of oil approached 66 US dollars per barrel. Thus, the cost of oil has gone beyond the price corridor, within which it is possible to maintain the current level of retail prices for automotive fuel,” – Belnautakhim explains.

However, they note that “in the conditions of oil price formation for Belarusian refineries in 2019, in order to maintain the effective operation of the plants, it is necessary to adjust the prices for motor fuel for the Belarusian market.”

This is the concern’s first increase in fuel prices since the beginning of the year. We remind that in 2018, the fuel prices changed 27 times (mainly increasing by a kopeck), which Belnautakhim justified by the need of “compensation of the refineries’ costs for the purchase of hydrocarbons”.
