They received the salary for November only in February.

Workers of a large construction company, the MMD-51, in Haradok, Vitebsk region, were paid the salary for November on February 20. By the end of February, the organization’s employees promise to have paid for December of last year, Euroradio reports.

The situation with the salary changed after workers complained about it to reporters. On February 21, Deputy Prosecutor General of Belarus Aliaksandr Dubau met with the MMD workers.

“The meeting with the workers was held without complications, – the MMD-51 administration says. – The main question was the salary. The salary for November has already been paid. They promise to pay off the salary for December until the end of February. But the point here is not the arrival of the deputy prosecutor. Simply the money has appeared. The people have come home. It’s difficult, of course, without money.”

The company did not specify how much it had paid the workers for November.

As Charter97.org reported, the MMD workers have lived without money since the end of last year. The MMD-51 is one of the largest enterprises of the region. Over the past year, more than 200 people left the organization.
