Over 300 people have been evacuated.

In Mazyr, unknown persons called the police and reported that the building, which houses the offices of the State Traffic Inspectorate, the State Control Committee, and the local housing and communal services, was mined. More than 300 people were evacuated, according to tut.by.

- On February 6, at 10.10 am, the operational-duty service of the Department of Internal Affairs received a message about the mining of a building at Leninskaya Street, 64 in Mazyr, where the Mazyr Interdistrict Committee of the State Control is located. The building also houses a hostel, a shop, premises of the housing and utility service and a department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Mazyr District Department of Internal Affairs, - the police reported.

All the relevant operational services arrived at the site, including sapper-pyrotechnic group of the military unit #5525.

People were evacuated from the building. Also, students of the Mazyr Regional Lyceum, located nearby, were evacuated.

An explosive device has not yet been detected.

Police warns that a deliberately false report of an impending explosion, arson or other actions that endanger the life and health of people, cause large-scale damage, or cause other serious consequences is punishable by a fine, or arrest, or restriction of liberty for up to three years, or imprisonment for up to five years. The same action committed repeatedly, either by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy, or which caused damage on a large scale, or entailed other grave consequences, is punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years, or imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
