Lukashenka’s Another Decree: There Are No Cheap Apartments In Minsk Any More

The dictator is preparing a document on which the capital construction management’s housing will be sold through auctions.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed selling cheap apartments built by the capital construction management through an auction. Lukashenka’s decree is being prepared, tut.by reports.

– Now it’s too early to talk specifically about it, some things are being proposed, some things are being introduced, – Valeryj Balabuyeu, deputy head of the main department for combating economic crimes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, says.

According to him, a corresponding decree is being prepared by Lukashenka. He said that this innovation has made a fuss and the growth of the accommodation waiting list.

– What gave rise to this growth? Those, who came first, became the shared construction participants, – the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes.

We remind that on November 23, Lukashenka spoke about one construction scheme. The idea was that a communal developer had built apartments at $ 600 per square meter on the site allocated by the president. But more than 60 apartments had been bought by one or two scoundrels, and then resold at a higher price. The conversation was about the new high-rise houses in Navinki, which had been built by the Tsentralny district capital construction management and sold first in first out.

After that dressing down, there was subsequent reaction: the next day, they replaced the chairman of the Minsk city executive committee. Readers reported to tut.by that on the same days, the State Security Committee officers interviewed residents of several houses in Navinki about how their apartments had been bought and sold. And portal’s sources in the power structures reported that the KGB took interest in the director of the capital construction management Liudmila Kniazeva. In February, Kniazeva was dismissed from the post of the head of the Tsentralny district capital construction management.

We note that the very principle of selling through auctions involves a step-by-step increase in the cost of apartments during the auction.
