Incident In Army: Soldier Dropped Military Grenade In Trench

The incident occurred during firearms training.

During planned firearms training, a soldier dropped a combat grenade into a trench. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reports about what happened afterwards.

The incident occurred on March 14. The soldiers were trained to throw an RGD-5 manual offensive grenade. One of them dropped a military grenade into the trench.

“The instructor, Senior Lieutenant Filippovich, showing highest courage and self-control, managed to literally throw his subordinate out of the trench and covered him with his body,” – the press service says.

Both soldiers received minor injuries of the soft tissues of their legs. The life of a soldier is not in danger.
