16-Year-Old Schoolgirl Dies In Homel Hospital

The Homel city department of the Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation into the death of a 16-year-old resident of the regional center.

The official representative of the IC in the Homel region Maria Krivanohava told this to BelaPAN.

On March 11, an ambulance took a tenth-grader from home. However, despite the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save her: she died in hospital. Forensic examination was appointed to establish the cause of death.

It is known that the girl studied in the secondary school № 1 in Homel. According to the regional publication Silnyie Novosti, there are talks among the parents of schoolchildren, that she died of meningitis. However, it has not yet been confirmed officially.
