Following Excises: Belteftekhim Raises Wholesale Prices For Fuel

They will grow already since tomorrow.

In connection with the increase of the excise rates on automotive fuel, wholesale prices for light petroleum products will also be increased. This has been reported by tut.by with a reference to the Belneftekhim concern.

The wholesale prices will grow already since March 20.

“Concerning the retail prices, the concern’s tactics remain the same: a smooth, step-by-step change taking into account pricing factors - the cost of raw materials, the Belarusian ruble rate and taxation,” Belneftekhim said in a statement.

Since March 17, the automobile fuel in Belarus has risen in price by one kapeyka. Belneftekhim noted that since the beginning of 2019 the price of the Russian oil for the Belarusian refineries in dollar terms has increased by 8.8%. Retail prices for motor fuel for this period increased by an average of 2%. In the cost of petroleum products, oil accounts for more than 80%.

Since the beginning of the year, excise rates on petrol and diesel fuel have decreased by 25% compared with the level of excise taxes in force from July 1 to December 31, 2018. In the Ministry of Finance, this action was explained by partial compensation of the refinery to the increase in oil prices in the context of the implementation of the “tax maneuver” in Russia (the decrease in budget revenues due to this amounted to 170.7 million rubles). However, the excise rates still increased slightly since March 15.
