Everyone who celebrates the Freedom Day, who realizes its importance, should ask themselves one simple question.

I have no festive mood today. Of course, 101 years of independence is awesome and significant. Still, I’m sick at heart. Because they grab and arrest people for the second day in a row, the police are besieging the houses of the activists, housing and utility services’ staff tear off white-red-white flags from windows, and the center of Minsk is flooded with police, riot police, and special services. The climax of this delirium – musicians get arrested for a concert on the Independence Day!

I think that today, everyone who celebrates the Freedom Day, who realizes its importance, should not only post a photo with a white-red-white flag or ribbon on Facebook, but also ask themselves one simple question: what exactly can I do to stop this delirium, which has been lasting for 25 years?
