Belarusians Around Globe Run Over 1 000 Km In Honor Of Freedom Day

The action covered the territory from the USA to Thailand.

More than 115 Belarusians from all over the world took part in the Free Run, a campaign in honor of the celebration of the 101st anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic. Together, they covered more than 1000 km, according to tut.by.

The essence of the Free Run is to run any distance in honor of the celebration of the 101st anniversary of the BPR and share a photo in social networks.

In addition to Belarus, Ukraine and Russia, Belarusians ran in Poland, Israel, Brazil, the USA, France, England, Germany, Norway, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Thailand.

- Yauhen Nahorny from Rechytsa and Dzianis Zhuk from Minsk independently took challenges of 101 km to the BPR 101st anniversary, they made it for 15 days and a week correspondingly. Ivan Yurkavets from babrusik not only ran over 30 kilometers, the route was in the form of the letters “BPR”. The most massive runs were in the USA, as last year: 10 people ran together in Chicago,” said one of the organizers of the Free Run, Volha Yermalayeva Franko.

The first Free Run was held in 2018. It brought together 104 participants from 16 countries. Together, they covered 669 km.
