Tragedy In Staubtsy: Schoolboy Admits His Guilt In Part

The teenager was aware of the criminal nature of his actions and could control them.

The 15-year-old schoolboy from Staubtsy has been charged with killing two people and attempting to kill two more. He has admitted his guilt in part, the press service of the Investigative Committee reports.

The investigation of the criminal case over the tragedy in the school No. 2 in Staubtsy continues. There are already preliminary data, but so far the main thing remains unknown – the motive.

“According to the conclusion of a comprehensive inpatient psychological and psychiatric examination conducted by the State Committee of forensic examinations, the teenager was aware of the criminal nature of his actions and could control them,” – the department says.

In addition, it has been announced that the teenager admitted his guilt in part. He is still in custody. Employees of the Main Investigation Department of the IC are checking into the matter.

The student has already been charged under a number of articles of the Criminal Code:

– the murder of two persons with particular cruelty from molester motives (part 2 of article 139 of the Criminal Code);

– attempted murder of two persons with particular cruelty from molester motives (part 1 of article 14 of part 2 of article 139 of the Criminal Code).

We remind that in the morning of February 11, a student of the 10th grade attacked with a knife a teacher and schoolchildren at school № 2 in Staubtsy. As a result, the teacher and high school student were killed, two more students were hospitalized.

The suspect was detained two hours later by the riot police. Two criminal cases were initiated – under Part 2 of Art. 139 (Murder) and under Part 1 of Art. 14 (Attempt to kill) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

According to the results of the medical examination, the suspect was neither intoxicated, nor under the influence of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
