Average Official Salary Is Dream

The pro-government statistics are refuted by the Belarusian reality.

More than one thousand two hundred rubles. Such an “average official salary” has been counted in Brest over the past month, Radio Racyja reports.

Public activist Vital Kazak notes that there are no such job offers in reality:

– I asked the deputy chairman of the regional executive committee to help my wife find a job with a salary of 1000 rubles. I asked him a month ago. There have been no offers. Hence, I walk away with a conclusion that even the top management of the region cannot help in finding a job wiyh the average monthly official salary.

According to Vital Kazak, a sum of 500 rubles can be considered a good salary for the region. Only officials and directors of firms can earn twice as much.
