Belarus Claims Start Of Portable Firearms Production

A handgun and a sniper rifle have already been developed.

State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislau Zas has announced the start of production of portable firearms and ammunition in Belarus as a new industry branch, on May 15 at the MILEX exhibition in Minsk, BelTA writes.

Simultaneously with launching of the new branch, he added, “the formation of the normative legal base” is in progress, reaching the production of the final weaponry specimens.

It is not specified what kind of weapons will be produced: they only say that the specimen “starting from portable firearms ending with missile complexes” are presented at MILEX.
