Today, the information that he was detained has appeared on Telegram.

First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus Dzmitry Shedko has resigned. He confirmed this information to tut.by.

"At the moment I am on vacation. A few weeks ago, I addressed the government asking for resignation. I hope that Lukashenka's consent will be obtained today," – Shedko says.

He dispels the rumors that he has left Belarus and does not intend to return in connection with the detention of the Beltelecom general director. "I'm going to work and live in Belarus in the future. It’s just that I've been working in the ministry for five years. This is a very versatile and valuable experience. And now there are new interesting proposals. I do not want to work in one place until retirement," – he explains.

Today, the Telegram-channel of blogger NEXTA has received unverified information that Dzmitry Shedko is detained. However, the KGB denied this information in the commentary to Euroradio.

The press service of the Ministry of Communications says that Dzmitry has been on the "planned vacation" for two weeks.

Dzmitry Shedko was born in Minsk in 1979. He graduated from BSUIR and the Presidential Academy of Management. Worked in the Central Committee of the BPSM, Assistant Director General, leading specialist of CJSC TKD Unispectr, executive secretary, deputy editor-in-chief, and then chief editor of the Planeta magazine, which was founded by Beltranshaz. In 2011, Shedko became Deputy Minister of Information, and a few years later, First Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization.
