The Prime Minister has assigned 11 towns to his deputies.

Prime Minister of Belarus Siarhei Rumas has assigned 11 towns with a population of 80,000 or more to his deputies by order No. 230r. According to the Council of Ministers, it was done to ensure effective cooperation between national and local authorities in the matter of their fast-track development.

Thus, First Deputy Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn is assigned to Mazyr and Lida districts, Uladzimir Dvornik - to the town of Babruisk and Babruisk district, Uladzimir Kukharau - to Barysau, Maladzechna and Salihorsk districts, Ihar Liashenka - to Navapolatsk, Vorsha and Polatsk districts, and Ihar Piatryshenka - to Pinsk, Baranavichy, Pinsk and Baranavichy districts.

Deputy Prime Ministers should help regional executive committees to work out effective measures for accelerated development of towns and districts, as well as creating additional conditions for their sustainable economic growth. They should solve and control the issues of preparation and implementation of the plans for development of the assigned territories, participate in the assessment of expected results.

In addition, Deputy Prime Ministers will take measures to settle controversial issues while implementing development plans of the controlled towns and districts.
