There may have been a leak in one of the tanks.

Several rail tank cars ran off the track at the Vorsha-Vitsebsk running line. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on Twitter.

"Near the village of Zamastochcha, several tanks fell off the rails. Emergencies Ministry units are arriving at the place. There's no information about the victims," - the agency writes.

Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that 16 tankers of freight train, carrying propane, had gone off the rails. The MES units were immediately sent to the place.

It is reported that the movement of trains was suspended in this direction.

According to the Nexta channel, the tanks with liquefied gas that fell off the rails were full, and there was a leak in one of them.

It is better not to stay within the radius of several kilometers from the place of emergency now.

Quite predictably, the problems started not only for passengers travelling from Vitsebsk to other cities, but also for those who were going to the regional center. As we have just been informed, the train №704B Minsk - Vitsebsk brought people only to Vorsha.

- The train stopped in Vorsha, and I immediately smelled a rat as it usually goes without stops, - the passenger wrote. - At first, the carriage hostess said that they wouldn't let us go to Vitsebsk yet. Later, the train manager came and said they would take us by bus. As I got off the train, I overheard the carriage hostess' conversation. She said that somewhere down there in the Vitsebsk direction a train got off the track.

Sources in the Belarusian Railways report that recovery and fire trains have already been sent to the crash site. Also, two reserve diesel locomotives have been provided.
