NEXTA: Authorities Classified New Emergency At Astravets NPP

The accident occurred right in front of the Ministerial Commission.

Blogger NEXTA writes about it in his Telegram-channel:

- Several independent sources have already informed us that the day before yesterday, on July 27, a truck-mounted tower with two workers in its cradle fell down at the BelNPP construction site. The two men were injured.

According to eyewitnesses, the spicy bits of the situation are that it all happened "right in front of the Ministerial Commission, which came to check the facility". However, there is not a single mention of the incident in the labor protection documents of the Ministry of Construction or in the reports of the Ministry of Energy supervising the construction. Nor has it been mentioned in the Investigation Committee's reports, although it is well known that its employees were there. Secrecy, you know. And unwillingness to "whip up tension among the population". Just like in the HBO series "Chernobyl ", if you watched it.

The injured workers are hospitalized. One has a broken wrist, the other has fractured limbs. Do not wait for photos and videos: it is forbidden to take pictures in the territory of the nuclear power plant, and we are protecting our sources - to be the first to inform you when to put on respirators, to take iodine and to run away from the country urgently, because the authorities will definitely keep it secret. Just like in 1986.

We remind that the construction of Astravets NPP comes with violations of international norms and constant emergencies. In 2016, the reactor was dropped at the BelAES construction site. In December of the same year, there was an incident with the train carrying the reactor vessel for BelNPP. The BelNPP management said that "there was a contact between the metal transport case, which protects the reactor support vessel, and the hollow reinforced concrete support of the contact network" at the Slaunaye station. To put it simply, a part of the NPP collided with a post.
