Minsk Was "Mined": What Happened In City Center

In the morning of August 19, an unknown person reported about the "mining" of several Minsk hotels: Belarus, Garni, Victoria Olympus Hotel, Yubileinaya, National Airport Minsk and the railway station, Radio Svaboda reports.

In all the cases, an e-mail from an unknown person about an allegedly planted explosive device in these facilities was received.

Bomb squads of engineers, pyrotechnic and investigative teams visited the sites, inspecting the buildings and looking for explosives. No explosive devices were found at any of the sites. The work of hotels, railway station and airport has been resumed, the Investigative Committee reports.
