Traffic Police Found Over 14,000 Drivers Without Technical Inspection Over 10 Days

State traffic inspectors told about the results of the 10-day State Inspection campaign.

During the ten-day State Inspection campaign in the country, the inspectors found most of the vehicles, which did not pass the technical maintenance, in Minsk and Vitebsk regions, as well as in the capital. This was reported by the State Traffic Inspection Office of Belarus to tut.by.

From August 7 to 17, the traffic police officers brought to justice more than 14,000 drivers, 4300 of them repeatedly. There were 441 legal entities and sole traders among them, and 152 of them were caught repeatedly. This number included enterprises of different forms of ownership.

- We don't care who owns the transport: if there is no technical inspection, the inspector issues a directive and an order. For example, this time 282 officials were brought to justice," - the acting head of the State Traffic Inspection Office, Aliaksandr Tsehelnik, said.

According to the statistics of the State Traffic Inspection Office, during the ten days of the State Inspection campaign, were found1,534 trucks, 318 motorcycles and 27 buses without technical inspection. At the same time, the largest number of offenders was found in Minsk region - 2981, Minsk - 2243 and Vitsebsk region - 2079.

As for physical persons, the inspectors have caught about a hundred people, who have already been fined ten or more times this year. At the top of the list was the driver from Vitsebsk - 17 orders were issued against him for not having passed the inspection since the beginning of the year, he had paid more than Br1000 as fines.
