"We're all waiting for the main result - the abolition of this stupid resonance law. This picket is my small contribution to the abolition of this law,"- the activist told journalists.

"I hope that the authorities will want to argue with us and do it publicly," - he added.

The picket lasted about half an hour.

The law "On Amendments to the Laws on the Effective Functioning of the State Military Organization" was signed by Lukashenka on July 24. The document provides for a deferral of the call-up for compulsory military service for general secondary education, as well as a one-time deferral for the first education, allowing getting a specialty or profession. Thus, graduates of technical and vocational schools will have to serve in the army before they can study at the university and graduates of universities – bachelors, will have to serve in the army before they can study for a master's degree or take up a post-graduate course.
