European Belarus Activists Held "Ecological Raid" In Maladzechna

The bank of the Usha River has been cleared of garbage.

City authorities are not engaged in garbage removal, activists of the European Belarus civil campaign did it for them. Andrei Markau told about the environmental raid of the campaign to the press service:

- We conducted an environmental raid, went to the Usha River and made a major cleaning of the bank of the adjacent territory. We collected seven large, bulky construction waste packages. And there was a lot of garbage! We mainly cleaned under the railway bridge, where a huge number of bottles, cigarette butts and bags were piled up.

People who were on their way home from work or on other business came up to us, thanking us, saying that we were doing the right thing. One woman even came up, left her phone number and asked us to call her next time we clean up.
