The 72-year-old activist continues to take part in rallies holding the national flag.

The well-known public activist Nina Bahinskaya told the website palitviazni.info how she was going to run for the "deputies" of the "House of Representatives", what prevented it and why she hasn't been able to get a pension for more than a month.

72-year-old Nina Bahinskaya constantly takes part in various actions with a white-red-white flag to express her civic position. The police classify it as "unauthorized pickets," and for a long time have been issuing huge fines to the elderly woman, which in total have already reached fantastic amounts for a pensioner.

"Probably more than 20 thousand dollars should be paid by now," - Nina Bahinskaya says. - I'm already confused about these fines and I don't know the exact figures. But I want to note that the last time I received a fine was in May this year. I haven't been bothered since then."

The pensioner is still in Kurapaty watch, where Kurapaty defenders asked her to take part in the current "parliamentary campaign" and run for office.

- I agreed, but when it was necessary to register the initiative group to collect signatures, they required my passport," Nina Bahinskaya continues. - And I couldn't find it. I started searching - nowhere. I even searched through the woods where I was picking berries.

In short, the document disappeared somewhere, and that's why, of course, I failed to take part in the "parliamentary campaign".

It is well known that the activist refuses to pay fines for participation in the actions, and that is why the state deducts 50 percent of her pension. But now there is another problem.

The pension is 200 rubles, and it's enogh for me," - Nina Bahinskaya notes. - But now, since I have lost my passport and haven't made a new one yet, I can't receive my pension at all. The last time I received it was on August 13.

According to Nina Bahinskaya, she is not starving, as she has some money to live on.

"And friends with loved ones also help," - she adds.
