Arseniy Chyhir: When People Come To Our Pickets, They Get Hope

We, those who are against, are the majority.

Arseniy Chigyhir, a participant of the European Belarus civil campaign, who put forward his candidacy in Babruisk-Pershamaiski constituency № 79, stated this:

- When people come to our pickets, they say that they get hope. We also explain that changes are possible and, vice versa, if nothing is done, nothing will change. People are very dissatisfied with the current government, everyone is outraged, - the activist says. - But not everyone understands that change is possible, that we - those who are against - are the majority.

We talk about our achievements, give examples of successful pressure on the government, examples of big and small victories of the opposition. We explain that without the participation of all supporters of change, we will not achieve these very changes.

We are able to resist the authorities and become winners. I tell people how we collected signatures for kindergartens, because we have a micro-district, which is very developed, but there is no kindergarten there. Then we initiated a meeting where the residents of the district gathered and expressed their dissatisfaction, asked different questions.

After that, we demanded from the administration to hold a second meeting and, in the end, we managed to get the authorities to plan the construction of a kindergarten. This is an example of unity and result!
