"They sometimes pursue policy that we don't like," - the dictator said.

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has commented on his decision not to go to Poland on September 1 to commemorate the outbreak of World War II. Lukashenka notes that he is not against the very fact of holding these events, nn.by writes.

- But we do not praise it to any political skies. This should not be done. I am against the politicization of this event, - he said. - Our people were there on September 1. Yes, the president did not go there. But I wasn't the only one who didn't go. And this is not an attack against the West. We treat the Polish people very well and will treat them that way. This is because both Russians and Poles are here on this western side. We once lived in the same state. We have a lot of Poles living here. Why should we fight with them? Yes, they sometimes pursue the policy that we do not like. You know my reaction to this. I tell them frankly: we will respond.

- Just like when they started to deploy different missiles. We answered by creating our own Palanez complex. They started crying that we were targeting at them... I said: take your missiles away. We don't want to fight anyone. But we won't let you mock us anymore. We won't let anyone. Neither powerful states nor weaker ones, - Lukashenka stressed.
