Incredible adventures of activists of European Belarus in Orsha.

Orsha policemen win the garland in the inadequacy contest among the Interior Ministry employees. Activist Andrei Voinich told that the press service of the European Belarus civil campaign:

- We've seen it over the past couple of weeks while trying to find out where Grey Cat (Dzima Kazlou) is, and when he'd be released.

The activist of European Belarus and a well-known blogger in Orsha disappeared shortly before New Year. Any information was not available for several days.

Dzima disappeared on December 25. For five days employees of the police department told Dzima was not there, asked to write an application to determine the whereabouts of the detained blogger, joked and behaved tough. Based on this behavior we concluded that Dzima was most likely in the Orsha District pre-trial detention facility. Later the information was confirmed.

By the way, I called the Vitebsk pre-trial detention facility. The officer on duty not only introduced himself but also went through the lists of detainees, said that they didn't have Dzima, wondered how else he could help me and wished a happy New Year. Do you feel the difference?

People from Orsha, Minsk, Vitsebsk gathered to meet Dzima after 15 days of arrest. About 30 people came in the evening of January 9. They were to release him at 20:45, and exactly at this time a show began.

At 20:45 the lights were turned off there. All the windows were black, no one answered calls. Cemetery mode.

Dzima did not go out and after a while, we headed to the police department, which was 20 meters away from the facility. The door was locked.

We started calling 102 and asking questions. An employee approached the door, opened it by 10 centimetres and began to speak nonsense.

We tried to open the door, demanded to let us in, and release Dzmitry Kazlou. However, the policeman did not let us in and was very scared.

After Maksim Vinyarski's statement that our friend was missing and we had to write a missing person report, he was let in.

Half an hour passed. There was no light in the windows and all the doors were locked. I recall that Orsha is the largest railway junction, a city with a population of 115 thousand people. There are many prisons in the district. It's been an hour since the department has been not available for everyone. They don't answer calls. Do you like it?

Maksim returned and told that Dzima would stay in the pre-trial detention facility. It was told in a whispering voice.

What was that? Cowardice? Orders? Position? Memories of the march of parasites when they had to evacuate officials from the district executive committee? I don't know.

Dzima will be released on January 24. We will come to meet him. People respect and appreciate him for his personal qualities, honesty, fortitude and humanity. They appreciate him more than the police, more than any official. That's why the latter get furious.
