Lukashenka To Latvian Prime Minister: Come More Often To Speak Russian, Our Language, Better

The ruler has also publicly admitted that he does not know foreign languages.

On January 16, Latvian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš opened the talks with Aliaksandr Lukashenka in Russian, Salidarnasts reports.

He joked that he understands it better than he speaks it, so he has to switch to English in order not to "say something wrong".

- Do you think I can understand you better in English than in Russian? - BelTA quotes Aliaksandr Lukashenka's words (their agency serves it up as a joke). - Come more often to visit us in order to speak Russian, our language, better.

In what other country will the first person call only one of the two official languages "our" and publicly admit that he does not speak the international one?
