The final decision will be made on January 27.

U.S. President Donald Trump may expand the list of countries whose citizens are restricted to enter the United States with seven more states. Among them are Belarus and Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by Politico and The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, January 21, referring to sources in the White House, dw.com reports.

Trump confirmed that he's considering expanding the list of countries, subject to restrictions, but did not give any more details.

According to Politico, the list of countries includes Belarus, Eritrea, Myanmar, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania. The list is not final and is still subject to change. The final version will be announced on Monday, January 27. Sources in the White House have reported that instead of completely banning entry, restrictions may affect a certain type of visa or certain categories of population.

In January 2017, Donald Trump imposed an entry ban on citizens of seven Muslim countries, and three countries were subsequently expelled: Chad, Iraq and Sudan.

The document was strongly criticized by human rights activists and caused a wave of outrage around the world. The U.S. Supreme Court later confirmed Trump's right to issue such decrees. In particular, the court did not see any signs of religious hostility in the decree prohibiting the entry of Iranian, Libyan, Somali, Syrian and Yemeni citizens to the United States.

The Trump administration, judging by the publication of Politico, perceives the decree as a successful measure to improve security in the state and in the world in general.
