Vitsebsk Blogger Aliaksandr Dubrouskikh Sentenced To 15 Days Of Arrest
ALIAKSANDR DUBROUSKIKH

He has taken part in actions to support the defense of Belarus' independence.

Vitsebsk resident Aliaksandr Dubrouskikh is now in a temporary detention center, where he's serving 15 days of arrest. This is what human rights activist Pavel Levinau informed Vitsebsk Viasna about, referring to the information, received in court and in the Vitsebsk temporary detention center.

We remind that on January 14, Judge of the Kastrychnitski district court Illia Belaus fined Aliaksandr Dubrouskikh 30 basic units for participating in the protests against the integration in Minsk.

According to Pavel Levinau, later Dubrouskikh came to Judge Belaus to get a copy of the decision, but was detained and sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest by the Vitsebsk district court.

It is still unknown what happened in the judge's office and under what article Aliaksandr Dubrouskikh was convicted. However, the human rights activist was told in the temporary detention center that Dubrouskikh had been "detained for hooliganism" and would be released on February 1.
