Doctors diagnosed the girl, who was taken to Minsk infectious diseases hospital on January 23 with complaints of muscle pain, increased body temperature up to 38.5 degrees and cough. This is not coronavirus, but a common acute respiratory virus infection, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.

On January 20, the girl, who got into Minsk infectious disease hospital, returned from a trip to China. On January 23, she was hospitalized with unconfirmed diagnoses. She was placed in a separate box and her blood was tested for a respiratory virus group.

Later, doctors established a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of influenza B of moderate severity. A study to rule out a coronavirus infection showed that the girl had no coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health has strengthened the prevention of the disease, especially among those who come to Belarus from the countries, where the facts of the disease have been revealed. Thus, the monitoring of passengers is organized at the national airport in Minsk, including with the use of a thermal camera.
