The former policeman came to support the Homel activist.

Homel activist Barys Anikeyeu was fined 15 basic units for participation in the rally in support of independence of Belarus.

This decision was made by Judge of the Homel Chyhunachny District Court Mikalai Krupadziorau, Radio Racyja reports.

According to the fined activist Barys Anikeyeu, there was no intrigue in the work of the judge: "Our independence costs a lot. We have to pay for it - someone with his health, someone gets days of arrest, someone gets fines".

Ihar Kazubau worked as a police officer in the first half of the 1990s. He came to Barys Anikeyeu's trial to support the citizen, who is punished for a peaceful rally in support of Belarus.

"This is total lawlessness. I worked from 1991 to 1996 - we never drew up a single protocol for political articles. And now they have made a cottage industry out of it. There is no state in Belarus, we have orders and decrees," - Ihar Kazubau says.
