Center For Investigation Of Riot Police Crimes In Belarus Proposed For Creating In European Parliament

Lithuanian MEP Andrius Kubilius came up with the relevant initiative.

MEP Andrius Kubilius, in his report, proposed to create a mission of former presidents and prime ministers. For example, the European Parliament formed such a mission in 2012 to monitor politically motivated criminal cases in Ukraine. Another proposal of Kubilius is to create a special group for “international investigation of the crimes of the Belarusian riot police”, reports Deutsche Welle.

Almost all MEPs who spoke expressed support for the report.
